Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Sparks Price War

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2Every year in the run up to Christmas we always get a few products and releases that spark a price war between retailers as they try to out muscle each other and attract more customers and the first price war of this festive period has been over the new Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 2.

Of course not all of the retailers have become embroiled in the  price war but the supermarkets have certainly seen it as a way to attract customers and get people to start their Christmas shopping early with Morrison’s selling the game for £25.99. Sainsbury’s have gone one further by introducing a 20% off consoles today so if you are considering buying either the game or a console there are a couple of good offers out there to be had today. Tesco are also selling the game for only £32 which is a saving of over £13 from what many retailers are selling the game for.

This is an early price war mostly consisting of the main Supermarket chains but in the run up to Christmas we expect to see more and more of these price wars take place and more voucher codes released than any Christmas previous with retailers using every tool they have to bring in extra customers and sales. The benefit to us of the price wars are evident and give us a great opportunity to save money.
